DINODACTYL Placitas, New Mexico Completed 2023 Dinodactyl—a fusion of mythic beasts derived from landforms of the site and view intentions. A village of separate "houses" for a collective of extended family and friends arrayed with sweeping views from each space toward the range that forms the eastern front, where the plains meet the mountains. The weathering steel sheathed centerpiece, "Dino," central to the arcing "Dactyl" array of the individually shaped "houses," aims dead center toward the view. The flanking elements and their roof colors respond to the site color palette and surroundings.
